Nigerian politicians set politics aside on Wednesday, November 1, to mourn the loss of Jide Tinubu, the son of APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Among those who were the first to express their sadness over Tinubu's loss were prominent members of the PDP.

PDP governors forum chairman, Ayodele Fayose and his counterpart in Gombe, Ibrahim Dankwambo sent their condolences via Twitter.
Former aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode who recently berated Tinubu for his comments on President Muhammadu Buhari, also expressed his sadness over the loss.
Nigerian politicians have overtime learnt to separate politics from personal issues.
Politicians of the APC stock are also not left out in the outpouring of emotions over the loss of Tinubu's son.
Adamawa state governor, Muhammad Bindow Jibrilla and the women affairs minister, Hajia Aisha Alhassan also tweeted about Jide's demise.
Jide, 43, an accomplished lawyer, was said to have complained of chest pain before he collapsed and later died.
The tragic news was kept secret because the APC national leader was in Abuja for the National Executive Committee meeting of his party.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has offered his condolences to the Tinubu family in a statement released on Wednesday, November 1, by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina; and also called the APC national leader on the phone, to commiserate with him.
Buhari stated that the death of Jide Tinubu had robbed the nation of the services and potentials of the resourceful lawyer. The president described the sad incident as ‘sad and painful’, and prayed that God would grant the Tinubu family the fortitude to bear the loss.
