The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division Nigerian army on Monday, December 25, visited troops within his AOR to celebrate the Christmas holiday.
In a tweet from the handle of the Nigerian army, the GOC was with officers and soldiers on FOB's along the Maiduguri - Monguno MSR.
The GOC, formation comds and staff officers also visited 119 BG Mallam Fatori to also share Christmas moments on Tuesday, December 26, with the troops.

NAIJ.com previously reported that a team of senior officers from headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) celebrated this year’s Christmas with officers and airmen/airwomen of the air task force, Operation Lafiya Dole, in Maiduguri on Tuesday, December 26.
The team was led by the chief of policy and plans at HQ NAF, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Muhammadu Mohammed, who represented the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

According to a statement from NAF, the CAS urged the troops to continue to work together with themselves and personnel of sister services towards speedily bringing the insurgency to a complete end.
He said the senior officers who left their families to spend Christmas with troops showed that the service recognises and appreciates their daily sacrifices towards restoring total peace to the nation.
