- The Spanish club have reportedly sent representatives to the Danish football star over a move
- But his current contract at Chelsea will expire in 2020, and the Blues may not sell him
Spanish club Barcelona are reportedly preparing a stunning bid for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen with the hope of luring the 21-year-old Danish professional football star to Spain before the close of the January 2018 transfer window.
The Catalan club are continuing their search for a top-class center-half, and have earmarked the Dane as a potential signing.
This season, Andreas Christensen has been superb for the Blues in the center of the defense in which Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is pleased with his performances.
And according to report by Sunday Mirror, Barcelona chiefs are keeping tabs on him ever since he ousted Brazilian star David Luiz in the Chelsea starting XI.
David Luiz is now said to be considering a move away from Chelsea to a club where he will be able to get regular playing time.
But Barcelona must be aware of the fact that Andreas Christensen's current contract at Chelsea will expire in 2020, and it is not yet sure if the Blues will want to sell him to Barcelona they will face next month in the Champions League last of 16 tie.
