BEA Scholarship requirements

The following criteria are to be met if you want to participate in the BEA scholarship!

For Undergraduate scholarship, all students must meet the following criteria:

Achieve five distinctions in your Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC) examination (which include relevant fields of studies plus Mathematics and English Language);
The certificates should be no more than two years old;
The applicant's age limit is between 18 and 20 years.

For Postgraduate scholarship, all students must meet the following criteria:

Be a first degree holder with 2nd class Upper Division or higher;
If an applicant has a foreign degree, he/she should complete the two-year practice employment in Nigeria;
He/she must have done the NYSC;
The age limit for applicants is 35 years (Master Degree) and 40 years (Ph.D.);

One more necessary requirement for people who want to partake in the BEA is to know the foreign language. All applicants must understand that they have to undergo one year of language courses in the country where they choose to study.

How can you apply for BEA scholarship Nigeria?

All Nigerians who are eligible to apply for this programme must report for an interview in their respective zones. You should bring along proper identification. You will need to print at least two sets of application documents which are to be submitted for the interview with the following attachments:

Educational Certificates and Testimonials from previous schools (Two sets of photocopies);
WAEC certificate (it should be confirmed by WAEC and forwarded to the Secretary of the Federal Scholarship Board in Abuja);
Birth Certificate (Two copies);
State of Origin (It should be signed by the authority, dated and stamped);
Your colored photographs (two passport sized photos);
Academic Transcript;
NYSC Certificate (For postgraduate studies);
Original and copies of Academic Certificate;
Data Page of Current International Passport;
Police Clearance Certificate;
