If you have the intention of contesting against Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos in 2019, better have a rethink as Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja of Odo Noforija Kingdom in Epe has declared that all the royal fathers in the state are behind the governor.

Oba Ogunlaja openly declared his support for Ambode ahead of the 2019 election while expressing excitement at the level of success the governor had achieved less than three years into his first tenure.

NAIJ.com learnt that the royal father made his decision known during a recent courtesy visit to his palace by the post-graduate students of Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ).

Oba Ogunlaja said he was overwhelmed by the work so far done by Governor Ambode.

He said royal fathers in Lagos would give Amboe the support he needs as he runs for a second term.

The traditional ruler also charged journalists to carry out their duties diligently and with professionalism.

He promised to support journalists in every way he could.

NAIJ.com earlier reported how Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos officially unveiled an ultra-modern recreational park in Alausa, Ikeja, in the evening of Wednesday, December 12.

The park was opened in honour of three former governors of the state, Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson (Rtd), Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The park is located in front of the state House of Assembly and few metres away from Lagos House.

NAIJ.com also reported that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said his administration will do everything legally possible, including deploying more technologically advanced techniques and equipment to ensure the safety of lives and property of 22 million residents in the state.

The governor spoke at the 11th edition of the town hall meeting on Security, organised by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) at the Lagos House in Alausa.
