The All Progressives Congress (APC), South Africa chapter, on Monday, December 25, urged Nigerians to support the federal government achieve meaningful development in the country.
Abbey Oguntuase, the party's interim chairman, and coordinator told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the telephone from Johannesburg, South Africa, that government was determined to improve the standard of living in the country.
NAIJ.com gathered that Oguntuase said that credit should be given to President Buhari for the successes recorded so far in the fight against corruption and moving the country out of recession.
“The challenges inherited by the Buhari administration cannot be easily resolved in a day. They require time and patience to tackle.
“We are happy that the government is on course in the fight against corruption and economic recovery programme,” he said.

According to Oguntuase, Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora should support the federal government in meeting the challenges facing the country.
“President Buhari has shown enough courage and commitment to move our country forward. He cannot do it alone. He needs our support and the APC South Africa chapter is surely behind Mr President in this regard,” he said.
Oguntuase said that with government`s economic recovery programme, 2018 would be better for the country.
“We are aware that the nation`s economy is out of recession. It is important for us to sustain the successes and gains to ensure a full recovery. It is our responsibility as Nigerians to assist government to achieve this goal,” he said.

NAIJ.com previously reported that the APC National Leader, Sen. Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, December 24 called on Nigerians to support President Buhari to resolve the country’s current economic challenges.
Tinubu made the call in a Christmas message signed by his Media Officer, Tunde Rahman, in Lagos.
He urged Nigerians to learn from the example of Jesus Christ “who faced and overcame the greatest evil” by uniting to overcome the country’s various challenges.
