Brazil skipper, Neymar, has revealed details his most horrific moment in his professional footballing career. The PSG forward said he feared he would never walk again after losing all feeling and movement in his legs after a back injury at the 2014 World Cup.

"And the doctor took me out and I started to… to cry. Because it was very painful and I didn't feel anything.

"I didn't feel my legs, so I went to the hospital that's in the stadium.

"And there they left me and I remember that I was with my leg bent like this, and when I stretched it out…"

Neymar then left the hospital - in a wheelchair - and watched Brazil's 7-1 thrashing by Germany in the semi-final.

But he recalled the scary words of doctors as he was treated and then given the prognosis for his career.

Neymar said they explained the tournament in his home country was over for him but then they added: "The good one is that afterwards you will be able to walk, because two centimetres to the side.. football is over for you."

Neymar recovered so quickly and thoroughly that he helped Barcelona - and his interviewer Pique - to the treble of Champions League, Liga and Copa del Rey.

He has been in tremendious form since his surprise summer switch to big-spending PSG.

But they are still lingering rumours that he is unsettled and unhappy under boss Unai Emery.
