Despite being sentenced to nine years in prison for assaulting a lady, Brazilian football star Robinho is said to be on the verge of joining Turkish club Sivasspor.
In November 2017, the 33-year-old Robinho was found guilty in an Italian court for gang assault and was ordered to spend the next nine years of his life in jail.
Robinho is one of a group of six convicted of assaulting an Albanian girl in a Milan night club on January 22, 2013 when he was playing for AC Milan.

But the former Manchester City and Real Madrid forward is currently going through the appeals process which could take years which means he is free to play football.
Under Italian law, Robinho won't begin the sentence until the appeals process has been finalized - which could take years.
Turkish club Sivasspor have announced on their official website on Monday morning, January 22 that they have reached an agreement with the 33-year-old to join from Atletico Mineiro in his homeland, Brazil.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Brazilian footballer Robinho wa sentenced to nine years in prison after him and five others were found guilty of assaulting an Albanian girl in Milan.
According to The Sun, Robinho committed the offence during his time at AC Milan.
However, the 33-year-old who now plies his trade in his homeland with Atletico Mineiro will have an opportunity to appeal the judgment.
