The Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Army have been commended by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state for the joint operation that led to the killing of Oluchi Igwedibia also known as Obatosu, younger brother of the late Don Waney.
Igwedibia, who was among the 32 cultists declared wanted allegedly played a prominent role in the New Year killings by Waney gang in Omoku.

The suspect was killed at Sabo Iyakpe, Etsako west in Edo state on Sunday, January 28.
Wike, reacting to the killing of the suspect, stated that none of those declared wanted by the state Security Council will go free. He maintained all the suspects will be brought to justice.
The governor reiterated that the N20 million bounty placed for credible information that will lead to the arrest of the wanted cultists is still in place.
He said those who participated in the New Year mayhem at Omoku and any other security infraction in the state will be traced and brought to justice.

The governor assured the people of rivers state that government will continue to work with security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure Rivers remains safe.
NAIJ.com had reported that younger brother to the late notorious terrorist, Johnson Igwedibia, popularly known as “General” Don Waney, Oluchi Igwedibia, aka Obatosu, was killed Sunday, January 28, in a joint operation by men of the Nigerian army and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at Sabo Iyakpe, Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo state.
NAIJ.com gathered that Oluchil’s body was immediately moved to Port Harcourt and was displayed to reporters at 4:10 p.m. at the 6 Division, Nigerian Army in the Rivers state capital.
Oluchi, who was said to have taken part in the New Year’s Day massacre of 22 innocent worshippers, after crossover service at Omoku, the headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA of Rivers state, was among the 32 cultists declared wanted by the Rivers state security council, after Johnson was killed on January 6 in Enugu by soldiers and DSS operatives, along with two of his lieutenants: Ikechukwu Adiele and Lucky Ode.
