A resurgent Arsenal side have defeated Everton 5-1 in their Premier League matchday 26 clash at the Emirate stadium.

Arsenal did not take long to make their impact felt as Aaron Ramsey finished from close range with an easy finish to make it make it 1-0. He was ably assisted there by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Arsenal doubled their lead just eight minutes later as a nice headed pass by Shkodran Mustafi fell to Laurent Koscielny, who latched on to it and put the ball into the back of the net with a fine header.

The rampaging host made it three in the 19th minutes as Aaron Ramsey collected a pass and decided to try his luck from distance. The shot was deflected and it was enough to turn the ball past helpless Jordan Pickford.

The moment for a debut goal came in the 37th minute as Henrikh Mkhitaryan found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang inside the box, he spotted goalkeeper Jordan Pickford off his line and chipped the ball into the net. What a perfect start to his Arsenal career it was for Auba.

And as both team settled to the dressing room at the end of the first 45 minutes it was Arsenal that was smiling with a 4-0 lead.

Everton pulled one back in the 64th minute as Dominic Calvert-Lewin headed the ball inside the left post after a splendid cross.

And it was time for some hatrick in the 74th minute as Aaron Ramsey got to the ball on the edge of the box and fired in a first-time shot without any hesitation. The strike is excellent and goes straight into the bottom right corner.

In other Premier League matchday 26 clash, Burnley played a 1-1 draw with Burnley at the Turf Moor, Leicester City played 1-1 with rejuvenated Swansea, Sanchez got his Man United debut goal as the Red Devils thrash Huddersfield 2-0.
