- Samuel Umtiti has given Barcelona a 30-day ultimatum to increase his wages or he leaves for Manchester United

- The Frenchman has a £53m release clause in his contract after signing from Lyon last summer

- Reports also have it that Manchester United are seeking for Raphael Varane but priority is more on Umtiti

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is reportedly ready to quit at Nou Camp and accept an offer from Manchester United within the next 30 days if his wage demands are not met, according to Don Balon.

The 24-year-old is seemingly considering his future as he wants a pay rise at Barcelona, with £7m a year said to be his demand, Don Balon reports.

The France international has a release clause of just £53 with Barca, which looks like an offer the Red Devils can meet for his services following his tremendous form since moving to the Nou Camp from Lyon last season.

Umtiti has been regarded as one of the top centre-backs in Europe, it is easy to see why Jose Mourinho would be keen to bring him after the poor recent form of the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

Don Balon have also linked United with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane to also solve their defensive problems, but Umtiti arguably looks like a better option.

Barcelona will be doing all they can to keep Umtiti at the club but they have little time to sort out his future in the next 30 days.

The Red Devils will be looking to match their title seeking ambitions for the 2018/19 campaign given that Manchester City are already run away Premier League leaders.

Jose Mourinho's side are 16 points behind City and the league title could be decided when both sides meet at the Emirates in April.
