Sadio Mane has been named Champions League player of the week following his highly impressive showings for Liverpool in the Champions League against Porto.
Liverpool took to their official Twitter account to celebrate their forward posting photos of his celebrations on the night with the caption: " Mane named Champions League Player of the Week Congratulations, Sadio! "

Mane scooped 57 per cent of the public vote following his hat-trick in the Reds' 5-0 victory over FC Porto on Wednesday.
Mane beat off competition from Real Madrid's Marcelo (29 per cent), Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur (11 per cent) and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (four per cent) to land the prize.
