A former state treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state, Musa Saya-Saya, who was kidnapped by five gunmnen in Kaduna around 1 am on Tuesday, February 13, has regained freedom, Daily Trust reports.

NAIJ.com gathered that the gunmen had earlier stormed the PDP chieftain's village in Ikara local government area of the state where they forced their way into his residence and kidnapped him.
The public relations officer of the Kaduna state police command, ASP Mukhtar Aliyu, confirmed the release. He said that the victim regained his freedom at about 7 pm on Tuesday, adding that he was in good health.
He added: “I do not have much detail on the incident as the victim is being debriefed by the anti-robbery and kidnapping team, but immediately I get details, I will get back to you.”
Aliyu commended the general public for cooperating with the police.

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that some armed men kidnapped a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Danbaba Saya-Saya in Kaduna state.

The men were said to have stormed Saya-Saya village in Ikara local government area of Kaduna where they forced their way into the residence of the PDP chieftain.
