In the statement which was sent to NAIJ.com, Kazeem expressed disdain for the adverts and advised members of the public to be patient as any recruitment exercise would be duly published by the agency on various platforms which he listed.

It read: "The Corps` attention has been drawn to a number of online sites currently advertising application forms for vacant positions at the Federal Road Safety Commission.

"This is to inform members of the public that the Corps is not responsible for any of the advertisements, and expressly disclaim all liability for, extortion of any form arising out of use, in reference to or reliance on any information contained in these sites.

"The Corps implores would-be applicants and the general public to be patient, avoid desperate moves and also assure you that any recruitment exercise organized by the federal government through the Corps will be published in the national dailies, the website (www.frsc.gov.ng) and on all FRSC social media platforms."

In a related development, NAIJ.com previously reported that the FRSC alerted the public to be wary of a recruitment notice which was being circulated on social media asking members of the public to pay some money for recruitment into the agency.

The commission in a statement said the FRSC boss, Corps Marshal Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, does not have a face book or twitter account and that the corps was not recruiting.

The statement signed by Dr Kayode Olagunju, Asst Corps Marshal, Policy Research and Statistics, attributed the reports of the purported recruitment to the activities of fraudsters.
