Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that following the alleged use of a single syringe by an unqualified doctor to treat all his patients, at least 40 people tested HIV-positive in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

The news broke on Tuesday, February 6, months after the victims, including children, were diagnosed at a health camp organised by an NGO in November last year in Bangarmau city of Unnao district.

An area councilor, Sunil Bangarmau, who spoke on the development, stated that 500 cases would come up, if proper tests are conducted.

He stated: “Forty HIV positive cases have been found among 400 tested people. If proper tests are done, at least 500 cases would come up."
