The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Stella Oduah of failing to honour its invitations.

The EFCC said Oduah has been invited by the commission three times within three months for interrogation on alleged diversion of N3.6 billion.

Punch reports that the spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said Oduah has failed to honour all EFCC's invitations.

Uwujaren said: "She was invited, yes. She has been sent a series of invitations; in the last three months she has been invited thrice.”

Oduah's invitation by the commission is not unconnected to an alleged diversion of N3.6 billion meant for the installation of security devices at the airports.

However, in a recent statement Oduah denied the complicity in the diversion of the said amount.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that Oduah said the N3.6 billion airport fund diversion is a politically inspired libel against her.

She also denied reports that she was evading investigation by the anti-graft agency.

Oduah said those behind the report were unhappy with her overwhelming popularity.
