African football star rated above Ronaldo as the best player in Europe

- Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has been rated as the best player in Europe

- The former Chelsea and Roma star was rated above Cristiano Ronaldo

Following his incredible performances this season for Liverpool Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah has been rated as the best player in Europe.

The former Chelsea and Roma forward has been superb for Liverpool this term scoring 32 goals in all competitions for the Reds.

Salah, 25, was rated high by The boffins at CIES Football Observatory which is a football thinktank based in Switzerland.

Calculated based on OPTA data, as well as according to the 'technical performance' achieved in domestic League matches in Europe's top five Leagues, the Liverpool star leads the way with a score of 98.7.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo occupies second position according to the rankings which was published by Mirror UK.

Brazilian star Roberto Firmino is not far behind in third while both Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk sit in the top 10.

Liverpool signed Mohamed Salah from Roma last summer for £36.9 million putting his current value at over four times what the club paid for him to bring him to Anfield.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has demonstrated an act of benevolence in his home country after donating the sum of £500,000 to Egyptian children’s hospital.

This season in England, the former Roma forward is enjoying the best form of his life scoring 32 goals in 38 games.

Recently, Mohamed Salah made millions of Egyptians happy by helping fund a bone marrow transplant for a young boy.

The former Chelsea attacker has now dug deep to gift Cairo's 57357 Children's Hospital 12 million Egyptian pounds.
