Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has reportedly made Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, their number one target to replace Arsene Wenger at the end of the ongoing season.
The Italian born tactician inspired his Serie A side to an impressive victory over Tottenham Hotsput at the Wembley Stadium earlier this month, having played 2-2 at the reverse fixture in Italy in February.
Juve came from a goal down to beat the Premier League campaigners 2-1 to reach the quarterfinal stage on 4-3 aggregate after two legs.

A performance which was said to have blown the Gunners executive away adding that the Italian side displayed a ‘strong and collective spirit’ in that encounter.
Meanwhile, the former Napoli gaffer has been learning English in the past 12 months according to Bleacher report.

The 50-year-old is said to be flexible and is willing to adjust his tactics, the qualities Wenger lacks, with the Frenchman often rigidly persisting with his approach to a game even when it's not working.
Wenger is believed to lack winning mentality during high pressure games, unlike the 50-year-old, who has already imbibed winning attitude into his players.
Allegri clinched the Serie A title with AC Milan in 2011—their only scudetto since 2004. He has also won the league and cup double in each of the last three seasons the Old Lady and lost to Barcelona and Real Madrid in the finals of the Champions League in 2017 and 2017.
Juve rose to the summit of the Serie A table after beating Udinese 2-0 last weekend, after Napoli failed to pick maximum point against Inter Milan in their encounter at the San Siro on Sunday, Match 11.
Signing the Italian born manager would be incredible for the north Londoners, but they will have to show some seriousness by winning the Europa League title or ensure they qualify for the Champions League to lure the manager from his current job.
It will be reassuring for Arsenal fans that the club is aiming high as they consider replacements for Wenger, but securing his signature is another matter entirely.
Arsene Wenger has spent over two decades at the Emirates Stadium, but has just three FA Cups to his credit 2014. In all, the Frenchman has won 17 titles in his 22-year-reign at the club.
