Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has shifted focus to his side’s remaining Premier League games after their 3-0 disappointing defeat to Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium City on Thursday evening.

Goals from Bernardo Silva, David Silva, and Leroy Sane ensured the Gunners suffered their second straight defeat to the Citizens in the space of one week.

Having lost the Carabao Cup final by the same goal margin at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening, the Frenchman admits that Pep Guardiola’s men are arguably the best side in the league.

But insisted that they have the quality to bounce back to winning ways in their next game, and ensure they put up positive attitudes to every of their games.

"Yes. We want to focus on the next game and continue to put in the effort we put in tonight.

"We played twice against certainly the best side in the country at the moment and that was of course difficult for us because we didn't have a good performance in the first game.

"But we have quality and we want to show that."

Wenger, who added quality to his attacking line-up during the January transfer window claims the north London club must stay united in the midst of their challenging period.

Though, their performance in that game was below average, it was still better than what they put up at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday in the Cup final.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had the chance to spark hopes of a comeback after Henrikh Mkhitaryan was fouled in the penalty area in the 53rd minute, but he missed the resulting spot-kick.

"You come up by the stairs and go down by the lift. That's what is confidence. That's the level you have to show to play for Arsenal.

"When your confidence is low the first thing that goes is the fluidity and movement—the spontaneous side of the game. You could see that tonight.

"I don't deny City's quality, but we're going through a difficult patch. That's part of football. We must stay united inside and focus on the next game and put the effort in."

The chance of finishing in the continental positions is gradually slipping off the Gunners reach as they are 6th on the table with 45 points after 28 games.

With just 10 games to the end of the season, Arsenal must start winning from their next game to ensure they finish among top six teams at the end of the season.

Arsenal have lost seven of 13 matches this year, while they have not kept a clean sheet in their last 10 league games.
