Barcelona superstar tagged ‘little dictator’ by his teammates after discovering 1 thing about him

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly been nicknamed ‘little dictator’ by some of his teammates according to Diario Gold.

The 30-year-old was recently christened authoritarian by his colleagues after telling the club’s executives to end their flirting with PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

Messi was said to have claimed that the 25-year-old midfielder didn’t show enough interest when Barca tried to sign him after losing Neymar last summer.

After the player had said that the current Spanish League leaders were ‘wasting their time’, and the club has since moved to sign Brazil youngster, Authur Melo, who is regarded as a younger version of the PSG player.

The nickname originated from the Argentine's new role in the club’s transfer policy. As part of the new deal he signed with the Catalan club, he now has power to influence who the club signs or fire.

Recently, the 30-year-old was also rumoured to have told the board to sell Ousmane Dembele, who joined the club last August, having blend with the rest of the team since he joined the Camp Nou side.

Messi, whose wife gave birth to their third child over the weekend, has been influential for the Bluagrana since he broke into the first team in 2004/05 season.

He has helped his team to four Champions League title and several other domestic titles in his 14-year reign so far at the club.

Messi scored his first ever goal against Premier League defending champions, Chelsea last month, and he is expected to shoulder the Catalan club to the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Champions League stage when the two sides clash at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, March 14.
