Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez has comforted his girlfriend, Mayte Rodriguez, who recently learnt about the murder of her aunt.
The Chilean actress only discovered on Thursday, March 8, that it was her uncle-in-law that shot his wife on February 5 and decided to bury her corpse
Earlier last month, Rodriguez and her actress mum Carolina Arregui, along with the 59-year-old’s family had reported disappearance of Concepcion Arregui to the police after she supposedly took a long-distance coach from her home in Argentina to her native Chile but failed to arrive.
Meanwhile, the investigation into her sudden disappearance took an unexpected twist in the last few hours after her husband Roberto Audano, 70, confessed to killing her and burying her body.

The police have opened a case for the Argentinian husband, Roberto, who has already been taken into custody by the authorities, while they continue their search for his alleged victim’s body in hills near the city of Mendoza, where he is said to have told detectives he hid her body.
Mayte, who spent time with her footballer boyfriend in Manchester recently, took to social media overnight after learning about the shock news to pay tribute to her relative, while she lambasts men that manhandle women around them.
“Us women, who carry human beings in their wombs and feed them in their first days of life and promise unconditional, love for ever. Fragile and sweet.
“At the same time capable of enduring the strongest pain. “We are not fragile and we are not sweet where there is violence.
“Protecting another is part of our instincts. Protect and denounce violence. Verbal or physical. National consciousness.
“A man is no longer a man when he mistreats a woman. With pain we say goodbye to you today.”
A well-wishers reacting to her post on social media said that: “Strength to you and your family at this difficult and sad time. My condolences to all your family.”
Another wrote: “A big hug beautiful. I just hope justice is done.”
The police are focused on finding the evidence that could help them convict the accused, since it was discovered that Audano had asked Concepcion for a divorce just a year into their marriage.
Since they have been unable to find CCTV footage to back up his claims, the detectives have now narrowed their search to near Potrilleros in the Andean foothills a short drive from Mendoza, where two pistols and two shotguns were found during a search of his home.

In the same vein, reports claim that forensic experts have found traces of blood in Audano’s truck.
Concepcion’s niece Daniela Torrealba, surrounded by other relatives and friends of Kontxi as she was known to her loved ones, said in a prepared statement yesterday:
“Roberto Audano, husband of Concepcion Arregui, our Kontxi, who had started divorce proceedings, has admitting killing her.
“We don’t know the circumstances yet but we condemn what’s happened and demand the truth and justice.
“Our pain prevents us from going into details at this stage and gives us space only to wish that Kontxi returns to our arms as soon as possible so we can give her the care and dignity she now deserves.”
Fighting back tears she added: “Her happiness has been stolen from us.
“We have been left with a tremendous emptiness of what was a wonderful presence in the lives of each one of us.”
Brother Diego said: “You will live on in the memory of each and every one of us as the tremendous woman you were.
“You will live on in society as a reminder so that never again anyone thinks about committing a criminal act like this.”
Actress Mayte, who has been officially dating Alexis Sanchez since July, was among relatives who highlighted Concepcion’s disappearance.
She posted a picture of her relative on Twitter soon after she disappeared and wrote: “Please help us find her.
“Concepcion Arregui is Chilean and was last seen on Monday February 5 in Mendoza, Argentina, where she has lived for the past few years.
“Please alert the family if you have any information.”
The Chilean actress, believed to be planning a permanent move to the UK to be with her boyfriend, is now thought to be back in Chile after a flying visit to Manchester.
She was pictured last month arriving at the city’s Lowry Hoel to join her partner for a belated Valentine’s reunion.
Mayte posted a picture of her enjoying a go on the dodgems with Alexis at Manchester’s Trafford Centre soon after arriving.
