On Monday, March 5, former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo turned a year older and the elder statesman was highly celebrated by his loved ones.
In order to celebrate his 81st birthday, the former president attended a reception organised for him at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Obasanjo was not forgotten by his close friends, family members and loved ones as they sent him birthday cakes to celebrate his new age.

Looking at the pictures, all the cakes had the picture of Obasanjo on them. They were different from the regular cakes, they were customised.
Aside from his picture, one of the cakes given to the ex-president of Nigeria was decorated in green, white, green colour of the country's flag. Another one had his book, My Watch beautifully crafted on the cake.
The pictures of his birthday cakes were shared on Facebook by Oladunjoye Tunde with the caption: “Remmy Hazzan as our friend, let me quickly tell you that these are cakes o! Ehen before you will go and make Nelson Ekujumi and co to be asking for the name of your town.”

NAIJ.com earlier reported that at Obasanjo’s birthday reception, the ex-president disclosed that he was convinced that his late parents would be happy in their graves with the numerous achievements he had so far recorded in life.
