Top Chelsea player rejects PSG offer, set to stick with his Premier League next season

- France international N'golo Kante is not interested in dumping Chelsea for PSG this summer

- The 26-year-old joined the Blues in 2016 after winning the Premier League title with Leicester

- He also helped the Stamford Bridge side to the EPL title triumph last season

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has reportedly turned down a move to join Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Blues from Leicester City in June 2016 in a five year deal around £33 million, having helped the Foxes to their first ever Premier League title in the 2015/16 season.

Prior to his exploit with the Foxes in 2015, the Frenchman was a mere average player, who joined the English side from Caen for £5.6m in 2015.

He clinched his second straight EPL title with the Stamford Bridge side last season and also won the PFA and FWA Player of the Year.

However, Antonio Conte’s men risk missing out of playing Champions League football next season as they are currently fifth on the table, five points off the required top four place.

PSG are aware Chelsea will not be interested in selling the 26-year-old, who still has three years in his current contract; they will still try to lure the player away from the Bridge this summer.

The Parisians are also said to have held talks with Thibaut Courtois’ father ahead of summer move to the French capital at the end of the summer, while Antonio Conte is tipped to replace Unai Emery.

PSG have also admired attacking midfielder Eden Hazard for several years, but it is believed neither he nor Belgium team-mate Courtois are keen on a move there either.

Kante and Chelsea return to action this weekend in the Premier League against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, in a game which will prepare them for their crucial Champions League clash against Barcelona in Spain next week.

Meanwhile, Danny Drinkwater says the 26-year-old is superb midfielder, adding that almost everyone wants to play with him.

"If you look at him now, he's the midfielder everyone wants to be. It is fantastic playing next to N'Golo."

Conte is prepared to name a strong team even though they face Barcelona in the second leg of their last 16 Champions League tie at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.

The Italian could have everyone, barring David Luiz (knee and ankle), available for selection as Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ethan Ampadu have joined in training this week after injury.

Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by current Premier League leaders, Manchester City 1-0 last weekend, a week after they lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Blues have 53 points from 29 matches – with nine games to the end of the season, and they will need to win all of their games to ensure they finish among the top four teams at the end of the season.
