Europa League campaigners, Arsenal have reportedly jumped into the race to sign Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi this summer.
The 21-year-old is no doubt a force to reckon with since he joined Leicester City in 2017, as he was named the Premier League’s top tackler half way into the current season.
However, Liverpool amongst some other clubs have shown interest in signing the Super Eagles defensive midfielder, who has been likened to Chelsea’s N’golo Kante due to his style of play.
Since the Gunners’ chances of returning to Champions League football next season might be looking bleak due to their position on the table.

They have the opportunity to play UEFA top tied competition if they win the Europa League title at the end of this season.
Meanwhile, Ndidi's representatives have revealed that the north Londoners are currently in talks with them over the possible summer move to the Emirates Stadium.
"There has been so much interest in him. He is going to be a top player and Arsenal have been in contact," a source close to Ndidi told The Sun .
"They want to sign him this summer.
"Arsene Wenger is a manager he admires a lot and his friend Alex Iwobi has told him lots of great things about the club."
Despite beating Stoke City 3-0 in their EPL fixture on Sunday, Arsene Wenger’s men are still sixth on the table on the table – with five points behind Chelsea, who were also beaten by Tottenham at the Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, the manager believes the stadium will be filled to capacity when his side welcome CSKA Moscow in Thursday’s Europa League encounter, as against the not-so impressive turnout of fans on Sunday.
Wenger said: “The fans will be back on Thursday [when Arsenal face CSKA Moscow in the Europa League] don’t worry.
“It is explainable by fact it is Easter, a family happening. We don’t go for a lot in the Premier League in people’s minds.
“We had a break, last two or three weeks we faced that problem. We don’t fight for the championship people know on and off that will not change.”
Wenger further explained that goalkeeper Petr Cech was ruled out of their victory after the international break due to groin injury.
Meanwhile, David Ospina was the man in between the sticks for the Gunners and he kept a clean sheet in that encounter, and it also be a warm up for him ahead of their UEFA assignment later this week.
Though, the French tactician cannot confirm how long the former Chelsea shotstopper will be on the sideline, he must be considered a doubt for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final tie at home to CSKA Moscow.
"He woke up yesterday with a sore groin and he's not available," said the Gunners boss. "But I hope he'll be available for Thursday."
Arsenal defeated red-hot AC Milan in the last stage of the European second tier competition to reach the last eight stage, and winning the title will ensure they return to Champions League next season.
