Nigeria’s chairman of the Senate committee on local and foreign debts Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the Peoples Democratic Party's plea for forgiveness.
The opposition party apologized to Nigerians for the ''mistakes'' it made during its 16 years of governance. PDP’s National chairman, Uche Secondus said: ''We made mistakes. On behalf of my colleagues and members of these party, I apologise to Nigerians.''

Reacting, Sani in a tweet said: "If we rejected the plea of those in Damascus who sinned and now seeking forgiveness,what do we do with their lineage who also sinned and are now camping in our garden here in Athens?.''
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the PDP apologised to Nigerians for the mistakes it made while governing Nigeria.
Uche Secondus, national chairman of the party, said this on Monday, March 26, at a public discourse on contemporary politics and governance in Nigeria, organized by the PDP in Abuja.
