Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has reportedly rejected a deal to join Manchester United this summer, and the Frenchman however sanctioned a move to Barcelona.

The 27-year-old forward is said to have agreed to join the Spanish giants in an £88 million deal instead of a move to Old Trafford according to UK Sun.

United manager Jose Mourinho wanted the French forward in the summer but he instead will move to the Catalan giants.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid gaffer will now have to turn his attentions elsewhere after defeat in attempting to land one of the most high-profile strikers in Europe.

Antoine Griezmann has scored 23 goals in 38 games this season but it could be his last campaign at Atletico.
