NAIJ.com gathers that Dambazzau chided the governor for not providing ‘good governance’, which he insisted, was the solution to the problems in the state.
According to the minister, Yari would still not be able to tackle the problem, even if he was given all the soldiers in the world.
Dambazzau maintained that the security of respective states is the responsibility of the governors.
He stated: "Good governance is the final solution to the security challenges in Zamfara, it is not the number of soldiers.
"It is not good governance for the governor of Zamfara to say he is withdrawing as chief security officer. Even if he is given all the soldiers in the world, he can't use those forces to deal with those issues."
On his part, the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who also attended the event, said more lives were lost to cattle rustling in Zamfara state, than to the herdsmen and farmers clashes in Benue state.
Mohammed said the fallout of demographic pressure and criminality, were reasons why the clashes keep occurring.

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that Governor Abdul’aziz Yari of Zamfara state said he had dropped his responsibility as chief security officer of the state, as he had no control over the security machinery in the state.
Speaking to newsmen in Talata-Mafara on Friday, June 15, Yari said that his decision stemmed from the seeming helplessness of the state government and the people, over recurring killings in the state.
He deplored the prevailing situation where as the chief security officer of the state, he could not take decisions on strategies for protecting the state and its people, and have it implemented.
