- Rapper XXXtentacion had since been buried while one of his assailnts has been arrested

The Hip-Hop World has been hit with the news of the death of another young rapper Smoke Dawg.

Just as h word is trying to get over the death of young and promising rappers Jimmy Wopo and XXXTentacion, another rapper has been shot dead.

The 21-year old Canadian rapper who was making name for himself by representing Toronto was shot and killed in another senseless shooting making him the latest rapper to become a victim of gun violence.

NAIJ.com gathered that the Canadian police claimed three people were shot in the area of Queen Street West and Peter Street, in Toronto’s Entertainment District, shortly before 8pm. The Canadian police claimed the suspected killers may have fled in a black SUV or a white car.

The security agency also revealed that two male victims and one female were taken to the hospital in critical condition but one of the male victims was pronounced dead.

It took the associates of Dawg to confirm via social media that he was the deceased victim.

Dawg recently dropped a new song titled Fountain Freestyle to preview his debut full-length project titled Struggle Before Glory which was slated for release later this year.

He first gained popular for his role on the street anthem Still and a remix of French Montana’s Trap House.

In 2016, he collaborated with Skepta on Overseas and in 2017, he was an opening act on Drake’s Boy Meets World European tour.

NAIJ.com had reported that rapper XXXTentacion was fatally shot in Florida on Monday, June 18. The rapper, born Jahseh Onfroy, was 20 years old. According to TMZ, the rapper was shot inside his vehicle while shopping for a motorcycle. He was found slumped over in his car after a gunman approached him and opened fire.

Local authorities report that it's possible that he was followed by as many as three vehicles after he withdrew money from a bank. Witnesses at the scene told police the suspects also took a Louis Vuitton bag from XXXTentacion's car before fleeing.

It was also reported that a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of rapper XXXTentacion. Dedrick D. Williams was arrested Wednesday, June 20, two days after Tentacion was shot to death in Deerfield Beach, Florida, USA Daily Mail reports.
