A 22-year-old Khayelitsha woman has given birth to four new babies on Friday, and the new mom described the miracle as "overwhelming but exciting".
Inga Mafenuka is the proud new mommy of two boys and two beautiful girls after giving birth at the Tygerberg Hospital on 6 July 2018.
TimesLIVE reported the Western Cape Government described the birth of Mafenuka's quadruplets as an “exceptional occurrence in any health system”.
Th Tygerberg Hospital staff pulled off all the stops to ensure the new mom and her babies receive the best care.

The hospital announced: "During the labour process each baby had its own dedicated pediatrician in the theatre while the mother was supported by a midwife and anesthetist at all times."

Briefly.co.za learned for the safety of Mafenuka and her quads, the babies were delivered at 29 weeks via a c-section. The hospital added that the young mom and her quadruplets were doing extremely well.
“The mother and her ‘quads’ are in very good condition and are doing extremely well.”
South Africans took to social media to praise the Tygerberg Hospital staff and to congratulate the parents of the four babies.
