In reaction to Governor Ayodele Fayose's claims that he was assaulted by some policemen at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday, July 11, Jimoh Moshood, the public relations officer of the force, has said that such allegations were false.
The police command in Ekiti on Friday, July 13, described as false the allegation leveled against it by Ayodele Fayose, the governor of state, Vanguard reports.

Fayose had accused officials of the force of physically assaulting and manhandling him, when they besieged and invaded the state's Government House in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking with newsmen in the morning of Friday, July 13, Jimoh Moshood, the public relations officer of the force dismissed the governor's claims.
In an earlier post, NAIJ.com had reported that Fayose alleged that some policemen deployed to the state for the Saturday, July 14, governorship election stormed the pavilion where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was holding their rally and harassed him.
The governor, who emerged with a neck brace narrated his ordeal and asked supporters of the party to remain resolute and vote for his deputy, who is also the governorship candidate of the PDP, Professor Olusola Kolapo.
