A footage of a fuel laden tanker leaking on the street has raised Nigerians to raise alarm after the video went viral on the internet.
The video shows a trailer boy trying to stop the leakage with a rag as the tanker drove past the busy Independence tunnel at Maryland, Lagos state.
The leaking tanker reportedly belong to Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC).

There have been calls by Nigerians for the government to take punitive measures against companies and individual owners allowing substandard and faulty tankers and trailers to ply the public roads and put other road users' lives in danger.
The calls came after a massive fire exposion caused by a faulty fuel tanker on Otedola bridge, Lagos.

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that no fewer than nine persons were burnt beyond recognition with 54 vehicles torched in a fuel tanker explosion at Otedola Bridge, near the old toll gate, Alausa, Lagos.
The spokesman, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Kehinde Adebayo, confirmed the incident, stressing that four persons sustained various degrees of injury.
