NAIJ.com has come across the story of a motorcycle rider popularly known as okada rider who was arrested in Lagos state for impersonating a military officer. It was gathered that the okada rider committed the crime to woo a woman.

The okada rider who was identified as Uche Godwin reportedly married his wife identified as Amaka under the impression that he was a military officer. He got her pregnant and married her while pretending to be a military officer.

According to PM Express, Amaka married him and they moved in together without her knowing his true identity.

It was gathered that Amaka only discovered the true after her husband got arrested along Ajao Estate, while he was wearing his fake military uniform in Lagos.

Godwin was arrested by police officers who had requested that he identifies himself with a proper identification as a military man. He was picked up and taken to Ajao Police Division after he failed to do so.

Amaka was reportedly invite to the station and asked what her husband does for living. She had told them that he is a military man.

According to PM Express, Amaka who is heavily pregnant broke down in tears after she discovered that she was deceived by her husband.

He was charged before Isolo magistrate court for impersonation and use of army uniform to deceive the public. The okada rider pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of N100,000 as his case was adjourned until Wednesday, July 18.

The okada rider has been remanded in prison pending the time he meets his bail condition.
