President Muhammadu Buhari participated at the closed session of the 31st Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
The summit took place on Sunday, July 1.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that President Muhamamdu Buhari will leave Nigeria for Mauritania to attend the African Union (AU) which will take place from June 30 to July 2.
This was contained in a statement issued by Femi Adesina who is the special adviser to the president on media and publicity on Friday, June 29.
He said the president would speak on the theme of “Winning the Fight against Corruption, A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation.”

President Buhari alongside other African leaders will interact with President Emmanuel Macron of France on Financing AU-led Peace Support Operations authorized by the United Nations Security Council.
