It has just been reported that a family in New Orleans dressed their dead boy in his favorite basketball jersey for his memorial service which took place at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home in Treme. He was just 18-year-old.
That was not all, late Renard Matthews was also propped up in front of a Television with a video game controller in his hands. His family disclosed that they did this for him because those were the things he loved the most.
Dailymail reports that they wanted to surround the deceased with the things he loved before friends and family and say their final goodbyes. The TV was showing late Matthews’ Boston Celtics game.

His mother Temeka disclosed that her son was killed in a shooting that took place on Monday, June 25. She described him as a homeboy who just started having fun outside his home. Temeka added that her late son was a graduate of McDonogh 35 High School.
It was further reported that late Matthews was shot while he was walking his dog. His aunt, Natasha Joseph, said he was also robbed of his cellphone. However, the police are yet to arrest the perpetrators of the crime because they do not have a motive for the crime.
