Women rule the sky! Nigerian airline celebrates her first all-female flight crew (photos)

A Nigerian airline has taken a step to fight for women empowerment. The airline celebrated her first ever all female crew to fly one of her planes.

The airline also used the opportunity to name her first ever female captain. The first female captain for the airline was identified simply as Sinmisola.

According to a tweet shared the airline's official Twitter page, the first all female flight would take place on Thursday, July 4.

Women empowerement has been raised across the world. Women rights actvists fight for the inclusion of women in decision making and economic life across the world.

This fight for the empowerment of women began after it was realised that men are treated better than women and the voices of men are valued more than that of women in some parts of the world.

There have even been reports that some companies pay men better than women for doing the same job in some parts of world. In some countries, women are not placed in powerful positions where they might have the power to influence change in the world.
