Arsenal on Saturday, August 25, recorded their first win in the 2018/19 Premier League season after beating visiting West Ham United 3-1 in a tough match at the Emirates stadium.
After losing their first two games against Manchester City and Chelsea, the Gunners knew that the only way they can seek redemption is for them to beat West Ham United.
But the Gunners' fans will have to thank West Ham United defender Issa Diop who scored the own goal that condemned his side to a defeat at the Emirates.
Prior to the start of the game, there were news that Mesut Ozil had an argument with Arsenal boss Unai Emery which forced the coach to replace him with Aaron Ramsey.
West Ham United scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute through Marko Arnautovic after gaining a superb assist from Felipe Anderson.
The Gunners restored parity five minutes later through Nacho Monreal who sent West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski the wrong way as the first half ended 1-1.
West Ham star Carlos Sanchez had a glorious chance to score in the 60th minute after finding himself on a one on one situation with Petr Cech, but the goalie made a good save.
Arsenal got the second goal in the 70th minute when Issa Diop scored into his own net for the Gunners to get their first three points of the season as Welbeck scored the third goal at the death for the match to end 3-1.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Premier League club Arsenal are reportedly listening to offers for England international Danny Welbeck who could leave the Emirates stadium before the close of the transfer window.
Welbeck played only one game for England at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and has emerged as a target for many clubs this summer.
