Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly considering the signing of Roma and Italy international Lorenzo Pellegrini when the January 2019 transfer window opens.

The 22-year-old midfielder is said to be among the stars wanted this month by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, but was not signed by the club's chiefs.

Lorenzo is an academy graduate of Roma having joined the club in 2007 and made his senior debut in 2015.

United chiefs are now said according to the report to be ready to make Jose Mourinho happy in the next transfer window by signing some of the players Mourinho wants.

Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld is also a target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, and he was said to be frustrated that they club did not sign him this month.

Manchester United have played two games this season, they beat Leicester City in their first game, suffered a defeat against Brighton and will face Spurs on Monday, August 27.
