Different churches have different requirements from intending couples before they can join them in holy matrimony. However, a couple in Zimbabwe probably did not expect that twerking can bring an end to their wedding ceremony.
According to reports, a Zimbabwean couple, identified as Yvonne and Emmerson had their happy day cut short by their pastor after he was offended by some dance steps he considered to be inappropriate.
It was gathered that the bridesmaids were twerking, and the obviously offended pastor, stopped the wedding for that reason.

According to reports gathered from iHarare, the pastor said:
“Right, DJ excuse, listen to what is being said from the mic, we are celebrating here but we want to notify each other that what is important is to celebrate”
“These people (bridal train) will dance and return to their parents’ homes but the wedding was organised by Emmerson and Yvonne who at the end of the day we want blessed.”
“The dances that are happening here, parents and elders, you are all watching and when they finish twerking they want to be intimate, they are not brides."

The pastor further explained that such dance steps by unmarried people should not be encouraged because it could lead to immoral sexual acts which could in turn lead to pregnancy.
“Don’t entertain these things; saying it is today’s generation, you are promoting immorality in church, we may rejoice, but when they leave they want to be intimate, this is nonsense.
"At the end of the day, you are going to have pregnancies that’s why we implore elders to monitor rehearsals to see if moral behaviour is taking place.”
NAIJ.com recently reported that a Nigerian couple who welcomed a baby after eight years showed off their dance moves in church to celebrate.
The obviously elated couple could not hold their joy as they danced. They also shared cute photos of their baby girl on social media.
