Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, August 22, gave insight on why the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, was yet to reconvene the National Assembly despite pressure from all quarters of the polity.
The acting national publicity secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, said Saraki was aware that the ruling party has two-third of the majority needed to impeach him as Senate president.
Nabena said the Senate president was just buying time with the hope that APC would negotiate with him.
He further advised Saraki to call for the reconvening of the National Assembly in the interest of the nation.
