A rice farm belonging to Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, has been affected by floods which have been causing devastation in many states.
Garba in a tweet on Monday, September 24, shared pictures of his farm in Hadejia, Jigawa state which he said took a hit from the floods.

In the shared photos, the presidential aide could be seen standing in a field covered by water.

Meanwhile, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was in Kogi on Monday, September 24, to commiserate with victims of flooding in the state.

Osinbajo, during his visit promised to provide relief materials and any other assistance needed from the federal government to help the victims.
The heavy flooding that ravaged Kogi state killed 108 persons and about 141,369 have been displaced according to a report by The Punch.
The vice president, who visited victims at the St.Luke’s Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp in Koton-Karfe, was accompanied by the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
