NAIJ.com gathers that there have been speculations that Ebe has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
When asked about the speculations, she reportedly stated: “I don’t know yet. I am in my house. When I leave, you will hear.”
Her response mirrors the current uncertainty in Akwa Ibom politics.
A source close to Ebe reportedly disclosed that the former governor has concluded plans to defect to the APC.
It is however not known if the reported planned defection has anything to do with Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of the state, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC.
Ebe had been appointed as deputy governor in November 2012, by Akpabio, after the former occupant of the office, Nsima Ekere, resigned, to beat his planned impeachment by the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly.
