Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has taken to the social media to appreciate his daughter’s stunning effort to reach him while on the pitch during a football match.

Mikel, who currently plies his trade with Chinese Super League side, Tianjin TEDA was away from the family housefor a game but his ‘angel’ and other family members were following proceedings on TV back home.

However, as the match progressed, Mikel was fouled by an opponent to the anguish of his little daughter.

Immediately, her dad went down on the pitch she started screaming while running round the sitting room before heading for the telephone to speak with her father.

Interestingly, Mikel has now responded to his daughter’s touching moves to reach him while in pains.

“ you have a heart of gold my angel ❤️ Daddy will always get back up my love ❤️,” Mikel posted in a video clip on his official instagram account.
