Nigerians react as LCDA chairman commissions toilet, calls it ultramodern

Nigerians on Facebook has expressed their disgust towards the commissioning of a toilet project executed by the chairman of Eredo local council development area, Honourable Saliu Adeniyi.

NAIJ.com gathers that the project, which was said to be an ultramodern staff toilet, was commissioned on Wednesday, August 29.

A Facebook user identified as Teju Olaoye shared pictures of the project on his page on Sunday, September 2.

The project, however, did not go down well with Nigerians on Facebook, who couldn't hide their displeasure with the phrase "ultramodern staff toilet".

Shamel Ddon in a satirical tone, called on other Facebook users to congratulate the chairman on his achievement and take selfie with him. He asked if the said ultramodern toilet will assist its user in cleaning up after defecation.

John Ifeanyi was also disgusted with the phrase, saying it means Nigerians are still behind if this could be called an ultramodern toilet.

In the same vein, Teetobie Links said there is nothing ultramodern in the project that was commissioned by the LCDA chairman.l

Nneka Ofobuike said Nigeria is a funny country, adding that it's the duty of the LCDA chairman to provide toilets for his people.

Shuaib Horlayincar Heryinlar is of the opinion that the chairman should be decorated as a best comedian of the year, saying he deserves the award.

Solomon Frydae simply described the commissioning as being ridiculous.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari's aide on social media, Lauretta Onochie, said the president was set to commission the Abuja light railway project.

The president's media aide made the disclosure on her Twitter page on Thursday, July 12. The project was awarded since 2007.
