Policemen in Edo state allegedly took N450k bribe to retrieve victim's stolen car

- A Nigerian man has taken to social media to narrate an experience his friend had with Nigerian policemen

- The man alleged that policemen had collected a sum of N450,000 from his friend to do their job

- His friend had reportedly been robbed by armed men who stole his car

We here stories about Nigerian policemen from time to time. Some are stories of how the men of the force put their lives on the line for the citizens of Nigeria and others are alleged stories of corruption and bribery.

A case of bribery has been shared on social media by a Nigerian man. The man identified simply as Osahon took to Twitter to recount how police officers collected a bribe of N450,000 from his friend.

According to Osahon, the policemen collected a sum of N450,000 from his friend in other to retrieve his stolen car from armed robbers. He revealed that the shocking incident had occured in Edo state.

Osahon had also shared on the microblogging platform, that the thieves were caught. He claimed that the armed robbers had revealed that they sell stole cars to buyers outside the country.

The Twitter user also alleged that the robbers disclosed that they have an army officer who helps them get pass checkpoints with the stolen vehicles.

He noted that the thieves were planning to sell his friend's car to a buyer in Cameroon but they caught them on time and his friend was able to get his vehicle back.
