Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has disclosed that he was astonished the moment Cristiano Ronaldo hinted his intention to quit the Los Blancos after the Champions League final in Kiev, Ukraine.

According to a UK Mail report Ronaldo revealed he is likely to be on his way out of Real Madrid after the Galaticos claimed their third consecutive UEFA Champions League silverware in May.

Speaking after the blast of the final whistle in Kiev, the Portuguese star Ronaldo declared that more information concerning his career will be made public soon.

“In the coming days there will be answer about my future. It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid.

“In the next few days I will give an answer. Now we have to enjoy the moment. The future of any player is not important. We have made history,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying.

Interestingly, barely a month later, the Portuguese forward completed a record breaking summer transfer to Serie A champions Juventus for a reported fee of £100million in July.

Talking a walk down memory lane, Ramos, who claimed the UEFA’s prize for the best defender in the 2017/18 Champions League campaign, on Thursday, recalled how Ronaldo informed his Los Blancos teammates that he was leaving the Santiago Bernabeu dwellers.

“We found out practically when the microphones were being set up and we were surprised.

“He [Ronaldo] does what he wants,” Ramos said.

The Champions League defending champions are drawn in Group G alongside Serie A giants Roma, Russia’s CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen during Thursday’s draw ceremony in Monaco.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was "angry" after ex-teammate Luka Modric claimed the UEFA's Player of the Year.

According to an ESPN report, the Bianconeri boss also wants the decision of the former Los Blancos star not to be present at the ceremony in Monaco to be respected.

The Portuguese informed the Serie A club early on Thursday, August 31, that he did not feel like travelling but failed to state his reason for not making the trip.
