- Ronaldinho believes Barcelona star Lionel Messi is the best player in the world
- The Brazilian says Ronaldo is also a complete player, but he prefers Lionel Messi
- He added that Lionel Messi has done what nobody has done before in football
Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has joined the debate on who is the best player between Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
For the past nine years, these two superstars have dominated the game of football with Ronaldo and Messi winning five Ballon d'Or each.
Ronaldinho who played with Lionel Messi at Barcelona during his five years stay at the Nou Camp says nobody has done what his former teammate has done in the round leather game.
''Messi is the best in history, no doubt because nobody has done what he has done and I hope he plays 20 more years.
“I think when he leaves, nobody will be able to take the No 10 of Leo,'' Ronaldinho told Sport according to Express UK.
The 38-year-old also added that he prefers Messi over Ronaldo because of the manner in which the Argentinian plays the game.
"For me it's not a question over who is more complete, it's a question of taste. I prefer Messi's style,''. Ronaldinho explained.
This season, Lionel Messi has been scoring goals for Barcelona in the La Liga, but Ronaldo is yet to score for his new club Juventus in Italy.
