Liverpool on Saturday, September 1, continued with their impressive performance this season in the Premier League beating former League champions Leicester City 2-1.
Leicester City have now lost their second game of the season after losing the first against Manchester United.
The hosts had the first chance to score the opener in the 4th minute when Nigeria international Wilfried Ndidi located Demarai Gray with an excellent pass, but he was unable to beat Liverpool goalie Alisson.
Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel also made a brilliant save in the 8th minute when Mohamed Salah found himself one on one with him.
But the visitors finally got their first goal in the 10th minute through Senegal international Sadio Mane who was assisted by Andy Robertson.
Brazilian football star Roberto Firmino netted the second goal for Liverpool in the 45th minute via an header as he gained from a superb cross by James Milner.
The introduction of Kelechi Iheanacho changed the game for Leicester City as they pulled one goal back in the 63rd minute through Rachid Ghezzal.
But they failed to get the needed goal which would have given them a point in front of their fans as Liverpool won the match 2-1.
Liverpool have now won their first four games of the season for the very first time as they sit at the top on the Premier League standings with 12 points.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Egypt international football star Mohamed Salah stated clearly that he is happy at Premier League side Liverpool despite being seriously linked with a move away from Anfield.
