Isa Mohammed Munlaila, the Borno indigene, who recently decided to trek from Lagos to Abuja to register his grievance with the state of the nation, has revealed what he passed through during the journey which lasted for 34 days.
Munlaila, who started the trek on August 23, had promised to reach Abuja 18 days after he left Lagos.
He, however, declared that he was fulfilled.

Speaking further, he said he usually trekked between 6am and 6pm daily till he got to Abuja. He also said he slept at any point he got to every evening.
Asked why the journey took him 34 days instead of the promised 18 days, he told NAIJ.com that he got a bit ill on the way.

“I developed sore legs while the journey started. Therefore, it was difficult getting to Abuja on the day I promised you in Lagos. But I am fulfilled that I achieved what I set out for,” he said.
He told NAIJ.com that during the journey, he met Nigerians who also complained about the current situation of the country.
He further said he was encouraged by some people he met on the way as they often joined him trekking short distances and discussing with him.
Munlaila insisted that he was not sponsored by any political party and that he is not a politician.

Asked who he would now support among the presidential aspirants for the 2019 election, Munlaila said his interaction with people during the trip has made him choose Atiku Abubakar, who is contesting on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He explained that when he arrived Abuja, he went straight to the secretariat of the PDP, but he was told the national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, was not in the office.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that Isa Mohammed Munlaila, one of the many excited men who had allegedly trekked for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015, returned and subsequently showed his solidarity with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
