The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, has commended the recent signing of Executive Order 6 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Arkwright said the order signed by the president will help Nigeria root out corruption across the country.
Speaking with Channels Television on Monday, October 15, the British High Commissioner said the order would assist in the fight against graft in the country.

Arkwright said: “I’ve heard that this is an anti-corruption measure, it’s not for me to say who should or should not be on the list. But what I would say is that it’s very important in continuing this fight against corruption and rooting out corruption where it is happening."
He however, did not speak on the travel ban slammed on 50 prominent Nigerians by the federal government.
The commissioner said there is need for a peaceful and credible elections in 2019 because such electoral environment is important for political stability in the country.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Arkwright met with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to discuss the election process.
The British high commission in Abuja made this disclosure on its official Twitter page on Monday, October 15.

During the meeting, Arkwright and Tinubu agreed that the election process should be free, fair, credible and peaceful.
They also agreed on the importance of security forces remaining neutral.
