Kwankwaso reacts to Ganduje’s alleged bribe videos, denies involvement

- The Kano state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, alleges that Jafar Jafar, the journalist behind the spread of Ganduje’s alleged bribe videos, is working with Senator Kwankwaso

- Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso says there is no link between him and the publisher of the said dollar bribe videos

- Governor Ganduje questions authenticity of his alleged dollar bribe videos

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has dismissed claims by the Kano state government that he is behind the travails of Governor Umar Ganduje relating to an alleged dollar bribe video.

The former governor faulted the claims by the Kano state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, that Jafar Jafar, the journalist behind the spread of the video was working with Kwankwaso, Vanguard reports.

The senator who noted that there was nothing between the publisher and him called those suspecting him to prove that he was behind the video as being alleged.

Everyone knows that Jafar Jafar is an independent journalist and his medium, Daily Nigerian, is also independent,” Kwankwanso said through his spokesperson, Hajiya Binta Spikin.

“There is no deal whatsoever between Jafar and Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso. So if they are suspecting anything, it is left for them to prove it."

Meanwhile, the Kano state government has reacted to a report by an online media platform, alleging that the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje was involved in graft.

A statement sent to NAIJ.com by the Kano state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, said the report was written with a clear view to blackmail and extort the governor.
